Weezy recently released the highly-anticipated video for his latest street banger.
6’7″ was the first single “Lil Tunechi” put out after being released from prison late last year. The track features Cory Gunz and has been described as “A Milli on steroids.” The video for the song is quite interesting. The video is all over the place, featuring several Inception references, your run of the mill video vixen, a bootleg “Young Money Militia”, and the oh-so tasty “Huh-nee Knut” cereal. Directed by Hype Williams, this video is a hot mess. Not only is the Inception theme irrelevant, but the editing is quite poor. In many scenes, it’s very apparent that the editors got lazy, took an image of a city street off Google and put it on a green screen. ALSO, what on earth is on Weezy’s chin!? Regardless of its “interesting” video, you cannot deny that 6’7″ is a fire track.
UPDATE: After watching the video a second time, I have realized that I was a little harsh at first. While I still don’t appreciate the poorly made green screen scenes (what a mouthful) and still don’t see how the Inception references are relevant, the video is very entertaining nonetheless. The great thing about this video is how literal it is. Wayne touches on almost all of his lyrics. Earlier I said that the video was all over the place and that’s simply because his lyrics are all over the place. At the end of the day, I got a nice kick out of watching it.
